Cavs, Charge announce multiyear extension with radio partners

Cavaliers forwards Larry Nance Jr. and Cedi Osman celebrate following a play.

The Cleveland Cavaliers and Canton Charge have agreed to a multi-year extension with radio broadcast partner iHeart Media, the teams announced Tuesday.

The Cavs’ official flagship stations will remain WTAM 1100-AM and WMMS 100.7-FM, with Charge games being broadcast on 99.7-FM. The stations will carry preseason, regular season and postseason games, as well as pre- and postgame studio shows.

Tim Alcorn will return for his second season as Cavs radio play-by-play man, with former Cavs center Jim Chones entering his 11th as in-game analyst. Mike Snyder is entering his 29th season as the studio host, and he again will be joined by former NBA forward and Ohio State standout Brad Sellers as analyst.

Meanwhile, Scott Zurilla will begin his 10th season as play-by-play voice of the Charge.

Overall, the Cavs Radio Network consists of 30 stations that reach 38 states and half of Canada.

There is no set date for the start of either the 2020-21 NBA or G-League season.
