Knicks adding Mavs scout Johnson as pro personnel scout

The New York Knicks are adding Reggie Johnson to the scouting department as pro personnel scout, according to Alder Almo of Empire Sports Media.

Johnson has spent 25 years as a scout with the Dallas Mavericks, including more than a dozen as the team’s advance scout.

A former college football quarterback, Johnson will report to Knicks assistant GM Frank Zanin,

Johnson’s addition is just the latest to the Knicks’ reshaped front office under team president Leon Rose. The NBA is scheduled for Nov. 18.
