The NBA and players union have a greed to collective bargaining adjustments, with the league announcing that the season will start Dec. 22.
As has previously been reported, training camps are set for Dec. 1, and the regular season will consist of 72 games.
Free agent negotiations will begin on Nov. 20 at 6 p.m. EST, with signings starting at 12:01 p.m. on Nov. 22.
The NBA draft is scheduled for Nov. 18.
Talks on opening the NBA’s transaction window — trades, contract opt-ins and outs, etc. — are progressing toward firming a date two or three days prior to the November 18 draft, sources tell ESPN.
