Free agent shooting guard Alec Burks has agreed to a one-year, $6 million contract with the New York Knicks, his agent told ESPN.
Burks, 29, is 6-foot-6 and appeared in 18 regular-season games with the Philadelphia 76ers following a trade with the Golden State Warriors last season.
He has also spent time with the Sacramento Kings and Cleveland Cavaliers, after spending the first seven-and-a-half years of his career with the Utah Jazz.
Burks averaged a career-high 16.1 and 4.7 rebounds in his 48 games with the Warriors last season.
Source confirms free agent Alec Burks and the Knicks have reached an agreement. ESPN reports that it is for one year, $6 million. Worth noting: NYK assistant GM Walt Perrin was in Utah when the Jazz drafted Burks in 2011.
