Wizards point guard Wall reportedly seeking trade

Wizards point guard John Wall dribbles upcourt vs. the Knicks.

Washington Wizards point John Wall is seeking a trade, per Shams Charania of The Athletic.

Wall, 30, missed all of last season and much of the one before that after suffering a torn Achilles. He has recently been the subject of trade rumors that also involve Houston Rockets star Russell Westbrook.

“As Rockets/Wizards talks on Russell Westbrook-for-John Wall stall, Wall has made it clear he wants trade out of Washington to happen,” Charania reported.

This is odd timing on the part of Wall, given that he hasn’t played in a while and the Wizards were eliminated from playoff contention on the Disney campus.

But players can sometimes flight slighted and disrespected when they learn the team is seeking to trade them. Either way, this one is definitely something to watch, as the Wizards are hoping to take the next step and reach the postseason in 2020-21.
