Former Sixers guard Jackson nearing deal in Greece

Former second-round pick Demetrius Jackson brings the ball up as a member of the 76ers.

Free agent point guard Demetrius Jackson is closing in on a contract agreement with Greek club Panathinaikos, according to international reporter Jimmy Green.

Jackson, 26, is 6-foot-1 and was selected by the Boston Celtics in the second round (No. 45 overall) of the 2016 NBA Draft. He played collegiately at Notre Dame.

Jackson has appeared in a total of 26 NBA games with the Celtics, Houston Rockets and Philadelphia 76ers. He has also spent extensive time in the G League, including last season’s run with the South Bay Lakers.

After that he played for Lithuanian club Rytas Vilnius.
