Former Ohio State center Kaleb Wesson has agreed to a training camp contract with the Golden State Warriors, according to Anthony Slater of The Athletic.

Wesson is 6-foot-9 , 270 pounds and viewed as a bruiser underneath who can also knock down outside shots. He played high school ball at Columbus Westerville South and was named Ohio Mr. Basketball in 2017.

Wesson averaged 14.0 points and 9.3 rebounds for the Buckeyes in 31 games as a junior last season, earning second-team All-Big Ten honors.

His deal with the Warriors is most likely an Exhibit 10 contract, or a one-year deal for the league minimum. An Exhibit 10 contract allows a bonus of up to $50,000 if Wesson is waived and remains with the Warriors’ G-League franchise for at least 60 days.

Right now, though, it remains to be seen if there will even be a G-League season.

Forwards Draymond Green and Eric Paschall, and centers James Wiseman, Marquese Chriss and Kevon Looney are notables for the Warriors up front. Wiseman was the No. 2 overall draft pick.

Training camp is scheduled to begin Tuesday, Dec. 1.
