Celtics bringing back oh-so-tall Fall for another run

Celtics center Tacko Fall tried to get control of the ball during a game last season.

Second-year center Tacko Fall will be returning to the Boston Celtics on another two-way contract, per Shams Charania of The Athletic.

Fall is 7-foot-5 and went undrafted in 2019, but immediately turned into a fan favorite with the Celtics, despite appearing in just seven games.

Most of his time was spent with the Main Red Claws of the G League, where he averaged 12.9 points, 11.3 rebounds and a whopping 3.1 blocks.

Fall was issued a qualifying offer by the Celtics last week, making him an restricted free agent.

The Celtics also signed second-year point guard Tremont Waters to a two-way deal, filling both slots ahead of training camp on Dec. 1.
