Celtics bringing back Waters on two-way contract

The Boston Celtics are bringing back point guard Tremont Waters on a two-way contract, as relayed by Jared Weiss of The Athletic.

Waters was a 2019 second-round pick out of LSU and appeared in just 11 games for the Celtics last season, when he was also on a two-way contract.

He did spend plenty of time with the Maine Red Claws, averaging 18.0 points and 7.3 assists on his way to second-team All-G League honors.

Clearly, the Celtics want to take a longer look at Waters.

They also reportedly have signed center Tacko Fall to a two-way deal, so both of those spots are filled heading into training camp Dec. 1.
