The Cavaliers may be zeroing in on Dayton forward Obi Toppin and Israeli forward Deni Avdija for Wednesday’s NBA draft, per The Athletic. Toppin recently told reporters he would love to play for the Cavs.

Cavaliers GM Koby Altman is said to be especially high on Toppin, per a separate report from The Athletic. Other members of the front office seemingly prefer Avdija — but it remains to be seen if he’s still around when the Cavs pick at No. 5.

Victor Oladipo has told the Pacers he’s fully committed to the upcoming season, per The Athletic. Oladipo shot down some rumors in the process.

The NBA could open the trade window as soon as this weekend, per Amico Hoops. It is expected to do so no later than Monday.

The Knicks have weight a trade for Rockets guard Russell Westbrook, per the New York Times. Westbrook is seeking a trade out of Houston.

The Bucks have remained active in trade talks and are looking to move on from point guard Eric Bledsoe, per The Ringer. Rockets forwards P.J. Tucker and Robert Covington may be among the Bucks’ targets.

The Celtics are among the teams putting together a trade package for Pelicans guard Jrue Holiday, per The Ringer.

Heat forward/center Udonis Haslem intends to re-sign with the team for an 18th season, per the South Florida Sun-Sentinel.

Former NBA forward Caron Butler is joining the Heat as an assistant on Erik Spoelstra‘s coaching staff, per The Associated Press.

The Bucks and 76ers have an interest in trading for Spurs guard Patty Mills, per The Ringer. The Spurs may be looking to shake things up in a major way, according to reports.

The 76ers are interested in a trade for Chris Paul and have had some talks with the Thunder, per ESPN. But the Suns remain the early favorites.

The Lakers worked out draft prospect Nico Mannion on Thursday, per the LA Times. Mannion is a guard out of Arizona. The Lakers own the No. 28 overall pick.

The Warriors are seeking approval from the state and the NBA to re-open their arena at 50 percent capacity, via rapid testing, per ESPN.
