Sixers trade Horford to Thunder, land Green and Ferguson

Sixers forward/center Al Horford works his way to the basket vs. the Thunder.

The Philadelphia 76ers are trading forward/center Al Horford and the draft rights to Serbian point guard Vasilije Micic to the Oklahoma City Thunder for shooting guard Danny Green and guard/forward Terrance Ferguson, per Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

The Sixers also sent a “lightly-protected 2025 first-round pick” and the 34th overall pick in Wednesday’s draft back to the Thunder, per Woj.

Horford signed a four-year, $109 million contract with the Sixers last summer, but just didn’t seem to be the same player he was with the Boston Celtics.

Green was acquired by the Thunder in the Dennis Schroder trade with the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday.
