Timberwolves, Bulls talking potential swap of lottery picks

Timberwolves president Gersson Rosas answers questions during a recent press conference.

The Minnesota Timberwolves are talking trade with their No. 1 overall draft pick and have discussed it with the Chicago Bulls, per Legion Hoops Ross.

The Bulls have also been very active leading up to the Wednesday’s 2020 NBA Draft (8 p.m. EST, ESPN). They reportedly are seeking a veteran point guard. Moving up to No. 1 could give them a young one in LaMelo Ball, or perhaps a center in James Wiseman.

As is always the case at this time of year, all options seem to be on the table and a lot of rumors are making the rounds. Sometimes, they even come true.

New Bulls chief of basketball operations Arturas Karnisovas is believed to be looking to move the fourth pick and attach a player, possibly Tomas Satoransky, per Legion Ross.

Timberwolves GM Gersson Rosas has indicated he knows who the team is taking if it keeps the top overall pick. Unlike most seasons, no one else does.
