He will join a backcourt that includes point guard Terry Rozier, and shooting guards Devonte’ Graham and Malik Monk.

  • Along with Ball and Carey, the Hornets signed second-round pick Grant Riler (Charleston, 56th overall) and undrafted free agent Nate Darling (Delaware). Both are guards who were given the Hornets’ two tw0-way contracts.
  • Second-round pick Nick Richards was also signed. The 6-11 center from Kentucky was selected by the New Orleans Pelicans with the 42nd overall pick, then traded to the Hornets on draft night. The Hornets sent back a 2024 second-rounder in return.
