Veteran swingman Green agrees to deal with Rockets

The Houston Rockets have reached agreement on a one-way contract with free agent guard/forward Gerald Green, according to Tim MacMahon of ESPN.

As MacMahon noted, Green missed last season with a broken foot. His deal is not guaranteed, so he will have to make the team under new coach Stephen Silas. Training camp opens Tuesday.

Green, 34, is 6-foot-6 and has been with the Rockets since 2017. He averaged 9.2 points in 73 games in 2018-19.

The well-traveled wing has also spent time with the Boston Celtics, Minnesota Timberwolves, Dallas Mavericks, Brooklyn Nets, Indiana Pacers, Phoenix Suns and Miami Heat. This is is second stint with the Rockets.
